4-9-08: Very Important: Name changes due to entry transfers must
be made by April 14th or you will be racing under the original name.
No name transfers will take place on Friday April 18th.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leash at all times. This is for
every ones safety, especially in parking and at the finish line.
Beer: Forest Service does not want to see cans or bottles of beer in
plain view.
Be prepared to park in overflow 1 1/2 miles from the start if you arrive
late to the start of the Cohutta. Overflow parking is at Boyd Gap parking
lot and vista point. The Ocoee White Water Center has many bus loads
of paddlers who also use the parking area. If you park in a non parking
spot you will be towed. Plan ahead arrive in plenty of time for the start.

down stream. In the event that parking fills at the WWC, overflow
parking will be at the Brush Creek parking lot off Hwy 64 and/or Boyd
Gap. (It will be a 5-10 minute down hill ride to the start). Parking passes
required at WWC. If you are using Thunder Rock campground, please

A few reminders: Mandatory Packet Pick up is on Friday April 18 at the

drops. 65 milers are allowed 1 drop. Drops MUST fit into a 1 gallon bag.
Bags will be provided. We do not take responsibility for any dropped

2-22-08: The 100 is 75% full. All race info can be found on the Cohutta 100
web pages. Please read them thoroughly, we have made an effort to try
and answer as many questions as possible on the web site.
2-8-08: The 100 is 60% full now. Get those entries in. A list of all entered
riders can be found at SportsBaseOnline. Check out our sponsors.
They make the race possible and we are continuing to work with local
and nation businesses interesting in supporting mtb racing. Links to
sponsors web sites are found on the Cohutta Home page.
1-24-08: The 100 is 30% full. We have decided to change the name of the
65 from the rather generic Enduro 65 to the unique Big Frog 65. The
Forest Service road loop goes around what we locals call the Big Frog
loop as it is near Big Frog Mountain and Big Frog Wilderness.
1-15-08: The 65 course info is posted on the course page. Check it out!
Notice this course has nearly 10K ft. of elevation gain. The 100 has
between 12-13K, so the 65 will definitely be a challenging race course.
1-14-08: The 65 course has been officially measured and it is a few
hundred meters shy of 64 miles. A map and revised profile will be posted
soon.
1-9-08: Online registration for the Cohutta is now available at Sports
Base Online.
All of us at New Leaf Adventures wish you a very Happy and Healthy New
Year!!! 2008 is going to be amazing!
12-30-07: New for the '08 Cohutta 100 will be an intermediate distance
race. It will be about 65 miles. As soon as the weather allows we will GPS
the course to get an exact distance an profile. We will still offer the 100
and 35 mile races unchanged from past edition.
